Urge to run.

The urge to run, I know it well. A bottle, a box, a boy, a book.

I want to push everything away. I want to spread out across my bed and know it’s mine. I want to crash dishes into the kitchen floor and know that I only effect me.

I want to drive all night, stay out until 3, go on a trip, and not have a soul looking for me.

The hardest battle I fight is the urge not to burn it all down

And smile as it collapses

Because the feeling will pass, the fear will pass.

The solution is inaction.
